Take:
1 pound of ground turkey, thawed
1/2 cup of feta (I use the kind with basil and other seasoning in it; but any kind will probably do)
Sundried tomatoes in oil
Pepper (red and black)
Garlic
Oregano and whatever other spices you like
Mix in a bowl. Form patties (I get four big burgers out of this). Cook for 5 minutes each side over medium heat, then 2 minutes on each side again. Serve.
Easy-peasy and so delicious. I actually tend to eat them without a bun (Most typically in a bowl of mixed veggies that I thaw), but they’re flavorful and moist (the oil from the tomatoes helps), so you don’t need a lot of toppings probably if you do put them in a bun. As with basically everything I make, measurements are pretty flexible, so go ahead and mix it up.
Bonus: enjoy the therapeutic grossness of smushing cold ground meat between your fingers.

Take: 2 lbs of ground lean turkey. Brown in frying pan over low/medium heat. When about halfway to brown, add 1 chopped clove of garlic, plus pepper and oregano. Stir spices in and continuing until turkey is fully cooked. Turn off heat.
Chop: one large carrot, one large red pepper, and one medium onion. Pour some olive oil in the bottom of the pan, add veggies and cook on low/medium until onion is yellow/clear (five minutes).
Add: more olive oil as needed to avoid burning, 3 cloves chopped garlic, 1 tablespoon crushed red peppers, 3-4 tablespoons chili powder, oregano and/or basil, 1 tblspn of cumin, and some salt. Stir a little.
Add: 1/3 cup water with 1 bullion cube dissolved in it (veggie stock is great), 1 16oz can of crushed tomatoes, one 16 oz can of red kidney beans (with water), and the turkey.
Stir: Bring to boil. Then simmer uncovered for 20 mins, stirring occasionally and seasoning to taste. Finish off with a pinch of sugar (I used brown sugar, but white will work).
Serve: Hot, with shredded cheddar cheese, rice, or your personal favorite chili garnishes.
Say: Yummmm.

(truth: this is really the 2nd hat)
Discoveries: Hats are easy, and take way less time than blankets. Next step: making hats without a seam.
My roommates either liked it, or pretended to like it, sufficently, that I have decided to make four matching ones, since the size and shape seems to work for all four of us, and is just JP enough to be suitable. It’s like the Sisterhood of the Travelling Hats, except the sisters travel, not the hats.
